Led Zeppelin Songs, Top Ten
When I can’t write about the usual suspects (food, books, classes), I turn to lists. It especially relaxes me to rank music, and also gives me license to listen to songs over and over. I’m on a Zeppelin kick.
No.1 Immigrant Song No-brainer, EVEN considering that I don’t love the lyrics. That’s how good it is.
No.2 Celebration Day Guitar insanity, and the best opening line of any song ever, “her face is cracked from smiling.”
No.3 The Crunge I know this is a really uncool choice, but it’s a good song to dance to, and that makes it really popular with me.
No.4 What is and What Should Never Be I like a song that changes tempo regularly and has a lot of oo-oo-oohing.
No.5 The Rain Song I don’t usually fall for pretty, but this is especially pretty. I’m human.
No.6. Down By the Seaside A lightly twangy hammock swinging song with a heavier middle part aberration. Twang sandwich!
No. 7 Misty Mountain Hop My sister and I used to sing to this one really loudly. One of us was in key.
No. 8 The Song Remains the Same Should probably be higher on the list for being quintessential LZ. But 8 is a special number (Infinity).
No. 9 Whole Lotta of Love Pure smut. Dirt and grit are all over this song.
No.10 Traveling Riverside Blues Crowd pleasing, immediately improves the mood in any room. Handy!
No.11 Nobody’s Fault But Mine Hey kids, do you like voice effects? How about guitar music?
